Punch Poke Swipe

Punch!!! Poke! Swipe.......
We punched it just like the boxers would do but soon got tired of punching, and there came the pokeables and we poked and poked for a long while but here we are with the Swipe Swipe Swipables.
Still at lost about what we are talking about?...
 Nope! Its your phone, my phone, the gizmo's we use form day to day. Now think of it, how have the interface of our favourite devices changed with the change in the way we interact with them and what are the software components powering these amazing UIs. There such a long list cut cant get started at naming them yet cos I'm nodding, sleepy dozy me..... Well We'll be reeling out a long list at the next Thub meeting and we will also be meeting JavaFX an it eye candy effect. Catch ya on Wednesday 24th April, it promises to be effectiousZZZZzzzzzZZZZzzzz.

Back in those days we all punched it like the boxers do but soon we got tired of punching, then the pokeables were invented and we poked, then came the Swipe swipe swipeables! and we all love to swipe. Still at lost about what we are talking about. Nope! Its your tablet, my smart phone the gizmo's we all love so much. They support gestures and all sorts of interaction, the floating buttons, screens, flowing text, eye pooping effects  and additive graphics. But how do you get to create apps the harness the graphic power of this devices.... There is a long list of tool boxes and how to, but for a start we will be meeting JavaFX and its eye candy effect at the next Thub meeting on Wednesday 24th April.

HI! its another day for techie things tomorrow. We'll be seeing what happens when "Ideas have S**".....

Dynamic tHub

I've been thinking of way to foster dynamic interaction and discussions directed at the specific interest of every member of the tHub community; and BamM!!! the idea stroke yesterday while in a conversation with a friend of mine who happens to be a whizkid. He pointed to facebook, google, and other user content sites; saying if tHub will be the bomb!!! then we got to tow the same path. So come, follow me, lets do this together. Send in the topics you would like us to discuss in our meetings to thubnigeria@gmail.com. Also if you have any thing you would like to present, send in your entries to thubnigeria@gmail.com indicating the title of the presentation. Lets take it to the next level....

Hi techies,

Thanks for sparing time out of your busy schedule to come for the tHUB meeting. Hope you had fun and learnt plenty new cool stuffs?

A special thanks too to all who presented in the January  tHUB meeting. You guys are TECHnically awesome!

In line with the discourse during the meeting to put content from tHUB on the web, and to explore the Blog post channel, we agreed to compile the presentations into articles. Please find attached a list of the gropu members and their contacts.

Please, all group members are to mail their thoughts, comments and recommendations to the group leader(s) who will inturn form the body of the article with recommendations he recieves from his/her group members. After this is done, the group leader will send the copy of the first final draft to all his/her group members who will make additional comments (if necessary).

The final draft is to be sent to me (shegoners@gmail.com) for posting on the blog.

Please note that we have 1(one) weeks to finish this tedious process (submission deadline - 20th Feb) but I'm sure we can really find a way even through our terribly tight schedule to put ourselves and conversely tHUB on the information provider map.
